My Grandmother's Funeral
Donation protected
On June 26th, 2019, my grandmother passed away. While I was never close to her as much as I wish I could have been since I cannot speak my native language , I always felt close with her whenever I saw her or got the chance to speak on the phone with her and hear her same my name.
I got the chance to visit her last summer before starting my second year of college, and through all the trials and difficulties that year of my life faced, she somehow always felt close to me. Now, more than ever, I feel closer to her, and all I want to do is to help her and give her the burial she deserves. My parents are working tirelessly to help save enough money for it and they haven't had time to grieve, especially for my dad, now losing both of his parents. My parents have given me so many chances and my grandmother's blessing the last time I saw her before I passed has kept me going and strong. Now, all I want to do is to help my parents out to pay for her funeral.
I usually don't ask for things like this but I know how much my family needs help right now and being an undergraduate student in college right now, I don't have the means to provide on my own.
I love my grandmother and I love my parents so much. I really just want to help them out as much as I can.
The funds will be used to help pay for funeral expenses, including burial and other traditional Ghanaian services.
Please feel free to donate here or Venmo me at Naa-Ashitey or cash app at $foreverasheley
