Alex's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Right now, many of us are mourning the loss of a very special person.

Alex Lebovic passed away after a long, hard battle with Ewing's Sarcoma.

For anyone who doesn't know Alex too well, she was something else–beautiful, brilliant, bold and strong. I don't just say that lightly. She was first diagnosed with cancer right before her 21st birthday, after almost a year of not knowing what the excruciating pain was in her leg. For many people, this kind of news would bring sadness, anger and fear. However, Alex didn't slow down. She was still running around at day drinks, dancing on elevated surfaces, smiling so big and screaming in her cute tiny voice. You could catch her carrying (and slowly but surely, being dragged by) a German Shepard named Dakota and constantly laughing. Alex took a little time off of school, received treatment, got surgery and made her way back into her senior year. She got to live with her 3 best friends, go on away weekends and to the bars, travel to Europe with best friends and enjoy her senior year of college–as every 22 year old should. Despite time off, she graduated on time, while acing her classes (per usual). Flash forward about a year later, Alex is living in FL and had just been accepted into UF (among many other schools) to start her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian–all with her partner-in-crime, Dakota, by her side. Unfortunately, that's when she received the terrible news that her cancer had recurred and spread. Instead of telling people with worry or tears in her eyes, she reassured everyone that she would be ok. She went through her first semester of vet school, but eventually she did have to slow down. This past month has been a whirlwind of emotions for Alex, her friends and her family as we got ready to say our final goodbyes to an amazing girl. She left this earth being at peace with so much and thankful for all her fun, crazy and happy memories.

At this time, we're asking for donations via GoFundMe to help pay for medical bills and funeral costs. In terrible times like these, no parent should have to suffer this financial burden. Any amount makes a difference and I thank everyone in advance for your generosity.
