For Baby Luke's Recovery
Donation protected
Some of you may know what Baby Luke is going through, but for those who don't-- about a week ago Kelsey and Joey noticed Luke wasn't going to the bathroom regularly and that started to worry them. A couple days had passed and Kelsey knew something wasn't right with her baby. He wasn't showing any symptoms of a cold but was acting like something was bothering him. Luke didn't want to eat and started looking pale. They ended up going to the doctors and he was diagnosed with RSV and the doctor said he was probably towards the end with it and that it will just have to run it's course. Kelsey and Joey weren't satisfied with that diagnosis due to him showing no signs of RSV. Luke was not showing any progress and really started going downhill once they got back home. He was looking more and more pale as the time went on and wouldn't eat whatsoever. He couldn't hold his head up and was acting very weak. They ended up going to the emergency room and Luke later got diagnosed with infant botulism. This is a very rare toxin that has been injested into his body (and they don't know how this happened) this causes him to not be able to swallow or suckle and not have any control over his muscles. At this time he is not doing the best. Thankfully they got the medicine to hopefully bring him back to himself, but he will be in the hospital for at least 2+ weeks. We are praying to have him home before Christmas! With all that being said it's a very rough time for their family with having to take off work and driving back and forth to the hospital. Having to be in the hospital for over two weeks is definitely going to take a toll on the family. If you feel it in your heart to donate to Baby Lukes recovery every little bit helps! Happy Holidays
