Dylan Rambharose's Medical Fund

Anjanie Rambharose (Angie) has worked for DC for almost ten years now, currently as our Manager of Sales Planning & Analysis where she helps make sure we never run out of comics, books and collectibles.

We were shocked to hear that Angie’s 12-year old son, Dylan, suffered a mild heart attack last week.  As an infant he had surgery to correct a heart defect, but had led a “normal” life up until now.  While in the hospital he flat-lined twice, but was skillfully revived by doctors.  Thursday (5/4) he had surgery to find and correct the problem.  So far we are hearing that all went well and Dylan is in recovery. 

This is the second medical ordeal that Angie has faced within the last 12 months.  Last year, Angie almost lost her husband who also has severe heart problems.  Through it all, Angie never lost faith, kept a smile on her face and dedicated herself even more to her family and her work.  Although she is the sole bread winner for her family, as a proud Trinidadian she’s not one to feel sorry for herself or to ask others for help.

In trying to figure out how best to support Angie during this difficult time, we (her friends and co-workers) started this GoFundMe page to help alleviate some of the medical costs that her son’s hospital stay will accrue.   Our goal is to ease the financial burden as much as possible so she may focus on her family.  Along with your thoughts and prayers, any amount donated would be greatly appreciated.  All funds will be given directly to the family to use.
