Dustin's Fight Against Cancer

Some may or may not be aware by now but my son-in-law, Dustin Johnson has had a relapse in his cancer journey. Dustin was diagnosed with Basal Cell Carcinoma 8 years ago and until recently, has been in remission since 2011. My daughter, Hayli and Dustin fought the hard battle back in 2011 together and have since built a family and a beautiful life. After Dustin recently finding a lump under his chin, they have since found out that Dustin's cancer has returned only this time, it has returned in his lymph nodes and the bone of his face, now Metastatic Basal Cell Carcinoma . The doctors feel confident that they can get Dustin back to a disease-free state but this will require a process of procedures. He will be undergoing surgery in the next couple of weeks that will entail removing his hyoid bone as well as all lymph nodes in the submental region of his neck. After Dustin heals from surgery, he will then undergo Proton Therapy treatment every single day for 7 weeks. Dustin and Hayli have two young, beautiful children, my grandbabies, that they want to make sure are happy, healthy and in their best minds while Daddy fights for the win. Accepting the biggest nightmare is enough on their family but with the loss of income from Dustin not able to work during this process, their family and friends want to make sure he and his family are taken care of. Pray to ease the mind of Dustin and Hayli, pray for the right words to be found for the kids during this time, pray to guide the doctor's hands and aid in the healing of Dustin, and most of all, pray for Dustin to RE-ENTER the state of disease free and beat this cancer AGAIN only this time, FOREVER.
