At the beginning of this month, I launched a GoFundMe for my cousins back home in the Philippines. They lost their Mom and Dad to a house fire and lingering illness, respectively. Within two weeks, 82 family, friends, and total strangers responded to the financial goal of $5,000.00. Ten days later and after 1,326 shares on Facebook, another 14 people added an extra $1,050.00 to the fund. Indeed, it proves that there are still a lot of good people in our community who are willing to help no matter what it will cost them.
