Three decades ago, the Durham West Worship Centre began in Pickering. Since that time, the church has been a mobile church worshipping out of a community centre—setting out chairs, instruments, stage, pulpit, etc., for each service; and packing up after each service.
The bible tells us plainly in Ecclesiastes 3 that there is a time for everything under the sun. It is now, in God’s perfect timing, that Durham West will move away from being a mobile church, into the leasing of 6,000 square feet of industrial space on Brock Road in Pickering. No longer a mobile church, but a church with a fixed location poised to be a strong religious haven in the Durham West community.
We thank our faithful God for His bountiful provision!
As we continue to fulfill the mandate of Jesus Christ in winning the lost, we strive to transform this industrial space into a house of worship.
We need your help. We welcome your prayers, we welcome your visits as we worship together, and we welcome your generous giving.
We seek your help in raising $50,000. These funds will be used to augment the costs associated with renovating the space, and purchasing much needed equipment; i.e., constructing the sanctuary walls, stage, pulpit, baptistery, space for Children’s Ministry, etc.; sanctuary chairs; fellowship tables and chairs; furniture; and audio-visual equipment.
Every and any amount will help us in this endeavor to propagate the Gospel of Christ. We will do this together!
