Let me start this out by saying, everyone is ok!
On April 25th, 2017, My loving husband Peter got into a terrible car accident at the Baldwin and rice rd intersection in Ojai. He was headed to work when he was t-boned by a driver who apparently was not looking or just didn't see Peter as he was heading across the intersection. The other driver was at fault for the accident. Peter lost consciousness after hitting his head on the windshield and cut his head badly. He broke his sternum, received many stitches in his head and suffered a concussion. If he wasn't wearing his seatbelt, and his airbag hadn't deployed, he may have lost his life. Luckily, Peter is ok although he is in a lot of pain and is still in shock.
We are a young family, with a beautiful 8 month old baby girl named Adeline. Being a new family with a young child, we have been just getting by, paycheck to paycheck, with both of us working full time. Because of this accident, the medical bills are going to be rather expensive and the hospital says it will take a least 6 weeks for Peter to recover. We will both be missing some work because of this and we are not sure how we will manage over these coming months.
Adeline and I are so grateful that Peter is alive! We love him so much and the thought of him in pain and distress is difficult. Emotionally, this accident has been devasting but we are doing the best that we can to stay positive.
