First Annual Duck Dash
Donation protected
Meet Delta Upsilon, Grand Valley State University chapter brothers Tucker Haske and Ryan Gauche. Tucker and Ryan are our 2015 philanthropy chairmen, and take deep pride in organizing events that help us raise money to donate to our personally founded charity, Global Service Initiative (GSI).
GSI gets it's fundings from DU chapters all across the U.S and Canada, and uses the funds to send brothers to underdeveloped villages in Jamaica where they stay for one week and help build school's for children who don't have a safe and sanitary place to get a basic education. Tucker and Ryan have decided that they don't want to just raise money and spread awareness for the cause, but they also want to interact and connect with the people by participating in the Summer2015 GSI project in Jamaica. In order for us to send them, we need to raise a minimum of $4,000.
This Spring, Tucker and Ryan have decided that they are going to run the 2015 Rivertown Half marathon in Grandville, Michigan for GSI. They have been training regularly over the past month, and are very excited to do this event. We now turn to you, friends, family, acquaintances, businesses.. help us help the world become a better place, and support our brothers Tucker and Ryan in their effort to travel to Jamaica and help give children a safe place to learn. Any donation brings us closer to our goal, big or small, so all donations are greatly appreciated! Information on how to donate is below.
We will post regularly on the page keeping you all up-to-date on where we stand as we reach our target, and how the guys are coming in their training. We want to make this a fun, exciting thing for all of us!
