Dublin Marathon for charity

On Sunday the 28th of October 2018, I will be taking part in the Dublin Marathon on behalf of the Irish Cancer Society.  This is a cause that is close to me personally, but has also affected so many others. This year alone 40,000 people in Ireland will hear the words ‘you have cancer'. Thankfully, though, cancer is no longer a death sentence – six in ten patients will survive the disease for at least 5 years. Survival rates are improving and this is thanks to the hard work of researchers, charities and especially those who donate what they can towards the battle against cancer. All donations are greatly appreciated no matter how big or small. I look forward to the small matter of running 26 miles (42km) for such a worthy cause.
