Summerland Nativity Scene

For over 60 years a Nativity Scene, created by the Summerland Art Club and the Municipality of Summerland, overlooked Main Street during the Christmas Season.   The set fell into irrepable disrepair.  A new set is being created and will be displayed for years to come.  While there have been generous donations of time and materials, there are costs that remain, including the painting of all the pieces,  They will be protected with outdoor varnish as well.  Lighting also needs to be purchased.  Donations will be used to have our traditional scene once again shine down on Main Street during the festive season.  As reflected on Summerland Hometown Memories Facebook page, many many people have fond memories of this Scene from their childhood in Summerland.   It is a Tradition that a group of like-minded citizens are bringing back.
