Ellie’s road to recovery

At 3pm Friday afternoon 6/07/18 the mini tip truck my sister in law Ellie was driving in Murphy’s Creek had a devastating collision with some tree’s which not only left her in critical condition with severe injuries to both legs but trapped in the vehicle for 5 hours . At around 8pm Ellie was finally free’d and airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Hospital where she went straight into surgery. 

Ellie’s injuries were so severe that she was left fighting for her life. With so much blood loss and her left leg being beyond fixable she’s had it amputated. Doctors are still hoping to be able to save her right leg and more urgent surgery’s are scheduled. 

If this wasn’t devastating enough Ellie was 23 weeks pregnant.  Despite tremendous efforts by doctors and everyone involved Their little baby boy wasn’t able to be saved. 

Ellie  is still in ICU . She’s now stabilised and awake,
She has such a hard and long road to recovery ahead .. not only physically but emotionally. 

Ellie and Matt have endured such tragic loss and have so much more to face yet
I’m hoping to try take some of the added financial stress away.
I’m asking from the bottom of my Heart if you can make a donation no matter how small, it would be so greatly appreciated. 
I know our target is quite large but it’s the reality of the severity and expense in what Ellie’s recovery is going to take.

I am so incredibly proud of what an absolute fighter El is and My amazing brother Matt hasn’t left her side.  Life can change so fast and unexpectedly and I’m still unsure how life can be so cruel?
