Capital Prep HS Ski/Snowboard TEAM

"WE ARE CAPITAL PREP!" Located in heart of New England in the great city of Hartford, Connecticut, Capital Prep was founded and still exists on the principles of social justice. Our high school ski and snowboard program is about breaking down barriers and introducing urban students to a sport that many do not have the access or opportunity to participate because of the financial costs. Currently, we are the only such program that exists in the city thanks to the founders of the program, Jim Roderick and Wenzola Perry. Both educators are passionate about skiing and love teaching kids the sport. 


Unfortunately, due to budget cuts, our program cannot fund the financial cost for our athletes to participate this ski season at our local mountain, Ski Sundown in New Hartford, CT. Our team is compromised of twelve high school student-athletes who are skiers or boarders. The total cost for this upcoming ski season is $5,400 ($450 per student-athlete). We need to raise this money by December 15th, 2015 to keep the program alive this season.
