Send DSA SF to the Convention!

It's time to bring DSA local activists together!

The newly formed Democratic Socialists of America San Francisco Chapter is going to the National Convention August 3-6th!
The National Convention is where delegates from all DSA chapters around the country come together to debate and vote on the direction of the organization for the next year. 
We need a strong representation of the West Coast's values to make sure we can keep building an equitable society that works for all of us, not just the richest few. 
With over 400 members, DSA SF has the opportunity to send 16 delegates to help shape the future of DSA. That means we have flights and accommodations to consider for our delegates to offset the expense of taking time off work and eating out. 
We believe that housing, education, transportation, food, water, healthcare, and meaningful work are basic human rights that belong to all people in the city. 
SO! From each according to their ability and to each according to their need. Help us create a better city and a better country.
A note on transparency: We are setting up our EIN and Tax situation so for now, as a member of DSA SF steering committee and acting treasurer, I will be depositing the money into my personal account and using it to pay for/reimburse our delegates for costs!

We’re larger than ever before, and DSA members are making real change in their communities. Just last week, 60 DSA chapters joined pickets with striking AT&T workers across the country. Here in SF, we have been working hard with local organizations to address the homeless crisis, putting on panel discussions about feminism, socialism, and May Day, amplifying socialist values at actions and marches while building a broad left coalition to address the material needs of the poor and working class in San Francisco. 
If you think the richest few shouldn't be calling the shots for the rest of us, come join DSA SF!
