A film about an urban creative

A film about an urban creative genius. Think Beethoven meets Tupac.. And their struggles in mainstream society. Gritty and not safe. 
As an independent music maker in both the jazz and hiphop genres i have created multiple projects both visually and musically using my own resources and i would like to create an ambitious work of art in the urban genre with a community of supporters and participants. I am a self published author and am acquainted with the discipline it takes to see a project through as well as being a medical professional who attended two historically black colleges( TSU and Meharry Medical College.) I will write what i know and include the community of independent hiphop artist in this project directly and in production to ensure this is a global and not just a singular vision. The moneys raised will be used to hire actors, film on location, hire editors, and an additional writer/editor. Running it on a lean budget with a skeleton production crew will lower cost as i will take a sabatical from work to be the main person spearheading, producing and writing the project. The urban community is ready for a film like this and we have the ability to work together to producer works of art for the big screen that we want to see and not just what the world portrays of us.
