Support & Love for Tiffany's Fight

It was the beginning of February when Tiffany noticed, what her family thought, at the time, were some routine health issues that were happening to Tiffany. In her words:
“I was at work and had no symptoms. It was 5pm on a Wednesday and I said to a co-worker that my stomach was really hurting. The pain continued to increase that evening until I couldn’t take it any longer. This is when it all started.”
From there, over the next two to three weeks, after a series of tests, pokes, prods, etc. we received the news that none of us expected, nor were prepared for; She was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. What that means is that it has spread to other systems in addition to her colon.
Tiffany, as many of you know her, is a care giver in every sense of the word. A mother of two wonderful and amazing sons. A full time medical assistant, where every day she sees to the care of others who are hurting and in need. A friend who has always looked for opportunities to be there for everyone.
“I have always been the one to take care of someone else, being a mother, wife, and in the medical field. It’s hard to be the one who needs to be taken care of.”
In their words, nothing has or could have prepared them for being on the other side of that giving.
Everyone hurts. What can make the difference is how we band together to show support and love to those that are hurting. Louis and Tiffany both are facing some of the hardest times any person will likely face in life.
Just a part of this voyage involves the large mountain of costs related to the diagnosis, care and treatments to follow. Tiffany also will have to take a long leave of absence from work, which puts further strain on their family in many ways. Louis is already working to start the process for FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) to be there as much as possible for his wife and their family too.
The help we are asking for, for them will go to help offset those costs and help them through this. The love and support already shown has been in their words humbling and amazing. As friends of Tiffany and her family and those that love her, we are asking for any help you can give. Please share with others and together, lets do something amazing for them in their time of need.
