Dr. Patty's Big Heart

"Service is our rent for living" is Patty's lifelong mantra. Everyday she pours out her heart for others, by inspiring, loving, mentoring, educating. Saying Patty has a big heart is like saying the ocean has a lot of water or that we need air to breathe.
Her heart is why we started this campaign. Unexpectedly, over the last several months her big heart has faltered. She's been hospitalized, endured heart treatments, has been implanted with an ICD, and is on the road to recovery. But, heart medication, an ICD, physical therapy, these each cost money . As many of us know firsthand, insurance doesn't ever cover everything. There is a drip, drip, drip of expenses. It takes a toll.
As her sisters, brothers, friends, teachers, students, mentees, mentors, we can do something that will show our support, love, and that we admire her heart. That's why we put together this campaign to raise $10K over the next few weeks (by December 1st). This is such a simple act to show that we will fight with her. We will fight for her heart.
