Hi, my name is Brandi Kiana-Jo and I'm a Holistic Life Coach.  I am introducing an awareness program to educate the community about date rape drugs for free. This is called the Drink Safe Initiative and it is a 1-hour workshop to educate and inspire a safer drinking culture.

I am passionate about coaching people to be the best they can be through authenticity, compassion and gratitude and I've helped various people from teachers, nature conservationist, culture practitioners, entrepreneurs to at-risk youth kids but now I am asking for your help.

2 years ago, I was drugged at a new restaurant and bar. I had one drink and was paralyzed, I could not walk or move. I felt like dying and I blacked out.  Fortunately, a friend escorted me home safely in an Uber. The next day, I knew that something was wrong as I slowly regained my memory... I had never felt that way, however I wasn't sure. The stories I heard about me, mortified me. When I did some research, I learned that all the side effects I was feeling was a classic sign of date rape drugs. I called the Sexual Assault Hotline and they confirmed it. I reported it but nothing could be done as there was no evidence. Although, it was one of the most scariest things I've experienced, I refuse to accept that nothing can be done about it. Which is why I am introducing an awareness program to educate the community about date rape drugs for free.

Date Rape Drugs are commonly overlooked, under-reported and happen far too often. There is no educational program that keeps us safe from being date rape drugged. Being drugged can lead to human and sex trafficking, sexual assault, blackmail, other manipulative behavior and even death. The Drink Safe Initiative that I am introducing will be the first educational program that benefits all people regardless of age, race, occupation or gender and inspires people to be conscious of their well-being especially when drinking alcoholic beverages.

The Workshop
This is a not-for-profit awareness campaign that I'm looking to share at high schools, colleges, restaurants, alcohol-serving establishments and other organizations. The workshop includes a presentation and inspires interaction from the attendees to participate in real-life scenarios and topics on:
-   What date rape drugs are
-   How to keep our community safe
-   What to do if you've been drugged

Participants will also have a chance to share their story and feedback of their workshop experience afterwards.

My vision is to create a safer drinking culture for all by making Drink Safe Initiative an educational program integrated in the culinary industry.

The Donations
Any amount you can donate will help me to run this campaign. The funds will be distributed to create awareness for the Drink Safe Initiative through media productions, live workshops, pamphlets, signs and handouts to educate the public for free for 3 months and an educational video of the workshop to promote freely afterwards. Any amount you can donate will help!

I have sponsorship packages available!
Safe Drinker $200 (unlimited)
Safe Drink Enthusiast $850 (limit to 3)
Safe Drink Advocate $2000 (limit to 2)
If you would like to sponsor this way, please download the form at:
An email will be sent to provide you with the specific resolution requirements.

Intended Community Outreach
I'm looking for further support from the police department, programs like Crime Stoppers, D.A.R.E., to educate alcohol-serving establishments such as restaurants, bars and nightclubs, high schools, colleges, organizations affiliated with sexual assault treatment and drug abuse treatment facilities. However, anyone that is willing to participate, volunteer or host the venue is encouraged to contact us!

Being drugged was one of the scariest situations I had lived through. I had no control over my body, I was sexually assaulted and I felt like I was dying. I could not see (blind) for hours, I could not move (paralyzed), I blacked out every few minutes and was told I was acting out of character. I was humiliated and I didn’t know what was going on. Death is a side effect of date rape drugs but fortunately I'm alive to do something positive from this experience. I don't want anyone to go through what I went through. Getting your help to move the Drink Safe Initiative will help me to share my story, educate the community and inspire all of us to look after each other. I am grateful for your consideration and would be incredibly thankful for your help. Whatever you can donate, can help me to save a life, maybe it'll help your daughter, uncle, niece, brother, friend or maybe it'll save your life. I humbly thank you for your consideration.
