Hello everyone. Baby Drift was admitted and kept overnight at the emergency vet for observation. Sadly the costs are high.
it all started when I applied an antibacterial salve to her mothers skin. Was told it’s safe but immediately upon play biting her mother she instantly started spitting and drooling. I rinsed her mouth and thought she was ok but again another episode.
I rushed her to the e vet who applied an anti nausea shot and sent home antibiotics to be safe. We were worried about aspirated pneumonia. After returning home it was obvious she was still struggling So I brought her back. They did an X-ray to rule out pneumonia. Luckily none was seen and all looked fine. But keeping her overnight starts at $500 after already spending over $300 earlier. Of course I said yes to staying overnight but had to refuse the blood work as it was yet another $200 I couldn’t afford. Her bill will be probably $1500 or more but all I ask is help with $500 of it. Every little bit counts.
