Drew Monster Strong

Hey guys! Most of you are aware of the latest developments in Drew’s cancer journey, so you know there is much added to the Herrells’ plate. Here is a short summary: -Just when there was a light at the end of the chemo treatments, there is now added radiation treatments. -Emily also was officially released from her job at Baylor, which is a huge challenge because that means loss of benefits and disability. New insurance is up in the air right now, but anything will be costly. She will be able to be rehired as soon as she is ready but at this time that date is up in the air. -New year means new deductible and new out of pocket max! You guys were so incredibly generous when they first started this difficult process, and we are so so grateful. You have allowed Emily to stay at home with her babies and be by Drew’s side literally every step of the way. They have been able to keep up with the massive bills coming in, but they are quickly piling up again. So we are asking for another ROUND of CONTRIBUTIONS to the GO FUND ME, to push them through these last few months. Some of you have continued to intermittently give over the last 8 months and that is amazing. But if you feel led and are able, the Herrells would be SO grateful. Most importantly, please continue to pray for Drew’s safety and health, and the endurance that will be needed to finish this race! Feel free to share away Original story: On May 6th, 2019, Emily and Andrew received news that every parent hopes they never encounter. Their 6 year old son Drew was diagnosed with Stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma. They are currently at Children’s Medical Center Dallas and are receiving exceptional care that will include 42 weeks of weekly chemotherapy, plus radiation.

This is obviously going to be an incredibly challenging journey, but, this sweet family is believing Jesus can and will provide complete healing! Faith in God’s sovereignty along with the support of their loving community of family and friends will provide much needed light in this dark hour.

Looking ahead, Emily will be taking an indefinite leave from work so she is able to walk this long road side-by-side with Drew. The loss of income coupled with the medical costs will assuredly be a burden, but, we as family and friends can help relieve some of the pressure here, so that Andrew and Emily are able to better focus on loving and caring for Reese, Drew, and Kate.

Any amount is a blessing! I know their community is going to surround them with so much prayer, love and support!
