Top Surgery for Edreih Aldana

This is my amazing husband, Edreih. He is a cat loving, bed hogging, video game-playing, tech-obsessed man with a work ethic like you’ve never seen. He has a hundred stories as far back as being 5 years old and insisting on being treated like the other little boys in school, and over the past 1 year and 4 months, he has had the incredible experience of taking testosterone supplements and hearing his voice drop low and watching his face mature into the fuzzy hairy guy he has been waiting 25 years to see. After a very long time of holding his breath, Dre is finally getting to exhale a little.


The next step in this amazing identity-affirming journey for him is top surgery. This means making the upper half of his body look like Aquaman without the tattoos. It also means getting to finally go swimming and running around the beach and lounging in the unrelenting Texas heat the way he’s always wanted to- shirtless.


He’s a full time student that has paid for his entire bachelor’s degree out of pocket and also supports this beautiful two-people-two-cat family on his one income. This milestone means a great deal to us, and we would really appreciate the support of our friends and family and friends who have become family in any way they are able to.
