Drake House Museum: Eagle Project

Hello, my name is Joshua Lang. I am a 16 year-old Life Scout and will be doing an Eagle Scout service project for the Drake House Museum in Plainfield, NJ.

The objective of the project is to support one of the Museum's missions: to maintain the Drake House Museum for the citizens of Plainfield. The Museum's rear yard area needs a makeover. The project will consist of restoring and repairing the shed, constructing an Eighteenth Century Herb Garden, assembling seating for guests, and cleaning the rear yard area. This will enable the Historical Society of Plainfield to host outdoor events. The installation of the Eighteenth Century Herb Garden will aid in the education of visitors and students on Eighteenth Century lifestyle.

Donations will go towards the supplies and materials for the entire project. Any additional funds will be donated to the Drake House Museum to help with preservation. The Historical Society of Plainfield/ Drake House Museum is registered as a charitable organization under 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations are tax deductible in accordance with IRS regulations.
