VFW Post 2669

$2,470 of $100,000 goal

Raised by 13 people in 20 months
The VFW Post 2669 has raised $$$ over the years in support of our Veterans. They have provided families with support while there loved ones are on deployment and guidance and support for countless military men and women when they return home. The VFW has been a part of the Port Orchard Community before I was even around. My father John Weatherill has been the Commander of this post and I have witnessed him provide hours to our community, place thousands of flags on our military Veterans graves and put our community and others before himself. He helped develop and build the Veteran Memorial Wall in downtown Port Orchard, where bricks of my family are, including my father-in-law. However, now it's in jeopardy of closing due to lack of funds and codes that need to be met. PLEASE, Please support our veterans & our community, so Post 2669 can continue to serve all those who have served and protected our country! Much love, & have a blessed day!

This very same post just helped our family a few months ago as I lost my fiancé on 11/30/2016 who was a Tacoma police officer. I wish I was in a better position to donate back right now I'm struggling very hard as everything was put into probate and that can take up to a year to get things sorted out. I have shared this with many vets and LEO friends in hopes they might be able to help. Thank you for your help with my situation it was VERY MUCH appreciated especially considering what this post is going through trying to reopen its doors.

This V.F.W. Post 2669 has helped many Vets. and civilian people in our community, also the scholarships they give to our youth. I would hate to see us lose this asset to our community.

Sometimes life presents us with challenges. We should embrace those events knowing it will make us a better person regardless of the outcome.
