Dr Fannie Frazier Hicklin (Assistant to the Chancellor, UW-Whitewater, Retired) has had major damage to her house in a serious late August flood in Madison, Wisconsin. She will not be able to return to her beloved garden and home until November...and there will still be a lot of work to complete the restoration!
this is an urgent message to all of her former students and associates..
she needs our help!
We still need $1,000 to pay ALL THE BILLS!
DR HICKLIN lost all of her furniture last month..which created a new need, so I have extended the goal by $1000.
She turned 100 in August!
She has given so much to the UW-WHITEWATER and MADISON, its time to give back!
$25, $50, whatever you can afford..we have an in-kind donation of housing ($1200) for Dr Hicklin and her daughter Ariel..a major gift of $1000 from Michael J Cesario, $1000 from Stuart Brooks, $1000 from an Anonymous Donor, and $1500 from 2 anonymous donors on 10/11!

Dr Hicklin has been honored recently by many organizations, including a TRAILBLAZER AWARD at UW-Whitewater, and at the UW-Whitewater Homecoming Parade!
Over 350 people attended her birthday bash on 8/25 at the RADISSON HOTEL in Madison.
She was the first African American Professor and Administrator at UW-Whitewater, and the first and only African American to be President of a State Historical Society (Wisconsin).
Join me in supporting this exceptional teacher, administrator and mentor..
Lets get her back in her house, to DAISY and PEACH (the wonder cats of Burbank Place) and her beloved garden.
