Medical surgery for Sophie

Donation protected

My name is Michelle Romero, I have a 2 and 10month old Shiba Inu named Sophie. She is the love of my life and couldn’t possibly imagine life without her.
On October 31st Sophie was having trouble breathing. We took her to the vet where they performed an x-ray exam. To find out she had pleural effusion, for those who don’t know it’s a term used to indicate fluid built up around her lungs. That same day she was sent to an emergency to clinic to remove the fluid. The doctors performed several tests and was diagnosed with idiopathic Chylothorax, it is an uncommon condition in dogs that causes a fluid named chyle to accumulate around the thoracic cavity.
At a week later the chyle has built up again. This is going to be a a continuous reoccurrence and our next step to stop it, is surgery: ligation of the thoracic duct. Our family has already spent over $5,000 within a week just to get diagnosed. This puts us in a difficult position, surgery would range from low $6,851.00 to high $9,935.50

I’m not the type to ask for money or anything at all. I would really appreciate the smallest of donations. Just anything to help my pup and family out. Please help me make Sophie better, whether it’s in a $1 or a prayer, anything is something. Thank you !!!!!
