Downtown Denton Emergency Fund

$10,000 goal

Campaign created 9 months ago
In the early morning hours of December 26th, the 100 block of locust caught fire after a roof collapsed. More than 12 businesses will be affected by this, if not many more surrounding Denton's Historic Square. While we know that normal Property and Casualty Insurance should cover the structural damage, many of the business owners may not have continuation coverage. This means that, while the repairs are in progress, if the business cannot pay their employees, vendors, mortgage, as well as other debts taken to support the business, the rebuilding of the building itself could be meaningless.

Every little bit will help.  However, the $10,000 goal is probably far lower than what will be needed, so let's surpass it!

Denton Young Professionals (DYP) is a registered nonprofit located here in Denton. DYP has supported multiple  nonprofit agencies in the area. We want you as a donor to feel safe making contributions - we are a well  recognized organization. We have both the integrity and accountability to ensure any dollars you contribute to this fund will go directly to the efforts for these downtown businesses impacted by the fire.

If you have any questions feel free to contact DYP President, Randi Skinner, or Past President ,Tim Smith.
