In addition to Dougie Day that is scheduled for Saturday, June 22nd (Parrilla Grill from noon to 6pm), we want to share this GoFundMe page with all of Dougie’s friends, family, and community.
We are raising funds to help take care of some of the medical bills that came from an extremely unexpected event that happened in early April. While at work, Dougie collapsed as a result of cardiac arrest. With some quick thinking by a few people that were present when Dougie collapsed and some amazing work by St. Luke’s in the following weeks, Dougie is back to his normal/amazing self. He now has a defibrillator permanently implanted on his heart to make sure his heart doesn’t stop again and to monitor his heart activity going forward.
We are setting the goal at $8,000 to take care of Dougie’s health insurance deductible. Between this GoFundMe and Dougie Day on June 22nd, we are confident we can pull the necessary funds together to help support one of the most amazing guys on the planet.
