Send Bernie Delegate Doug to Philly

Hi, kind stranger! I'm Doug! Bernie Sanders announced he'd be running to be our next President, and every day since then that I've been able to contribute my time and efforts to this new American political revolution we've all started together has been an absolutely challenging yet beautiful thrill! Throughout the final three months of the Texas primary campaign, I volunteered A LOT (about 80-100 hours per week) as a Volunteer Field Organizer, primarily at the Austin & Texas Campaign HQs but also around the state. I hosted 'barnstorm' organizing rallies, debate watch parties, canvasses, phonebanks, joined a picket line with workers who had been on strike for over 500 days, cut turf (designed walk maps), entered data, co-founded the Austin Bernie Light Brigade, wrote and handed out thousands of copies of my own 2-sided flyer about Bernie, drove for the campaign, and did much more. I even traveled across the country for Bernie in March (shout out to my Chicago Bernie friends)! At my Democratic County Convention, I wrote an anti-Citizens United resolution that passed unanimously. I've trained at least a hundred  people how to enter data, phone bank, and/or canvass. Now, I've become extremely excited and humbled that my fellow Texas Senate District 5 Bernie delegates have voted to bestow upon me the great honor of representing them as a Delegate for Senator Bernie Sanders at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia! This trip will be very expensive (I've heard estimates ranging from $3,000-$8,000), and while I do have a full-time job working as a licensed professional, now that the deadline fast approaches, and especially since I will probably not have a job afterwards, so I'm asking for your amazing support, no matter how small it may be!
