LUNG DISEASE DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE! AND YES IT FEELS LIKE YOU
R BREATHING THROUGH STRAWS
Hi, my name is Sandy Perron, I'm 55 yrs old and have been living with end stage COPD, which means my urgency to receive a double lung transplant is very high. Last year my pulmonary function was 27% and has since fallen to17%.
I find the easiest of chores very difficult do, lately I've had more bad days then good. This is a painful debilitating desease that I would wish on know one.
I consider myself to be a kind person, and have taken care of the elderly in both the community and in LTC. for over 20 years, and have enjoyed making others life better
I have a common law partner, 3 boys and 2 beautiful grandkids Tyson and Owen, whom I love dearly, and I would like to be able to see them grow up and and be able to be a bigger part of there lives. Since finding out about my disease my pulomonary function has fallen from to 17%, and I'm unable to work. I'm on o2 and require a lot of medications and received some new medications since my last visit to Toronto
I will be heading back to Toronto for a week long assessment, and I need to bring a support person for this week long stay, which will require lodgings, gas expenses and food.
I find myself in a position where I need help, so Im reaching out to the community to open there hearts and to help fund my costs for travel, lodging, medical and accomodations in Toronto . Its difficult humbling yourself to complete strangers and friends, however; I dont have a choice, any small donation would be appreciated. I have met a couple new friends since begining this account and appreciate there kind words and prayers.
I'm a fighter and I will continue to fight this long journey ahead of me, but I cant do it alone. So again I ask sincerely from the bottom of my heart for any assistance you can offer.
