Don't Forget About Me Project is Back For Another Year of Giving!

Disclosure: for confidentiality purposes specific details may be brief.

Who: Hello, my name is  Victoria Adams the founder of the Don't Forget About Me Project. Last year, while completing my Masters in Social Work at Simmons College, I was placed at a Non Profit Hospital in Boston. During this time, I launched the The Don’t Forget About Me Project to assist a specific adolescent population I had been working with at the time. These children/adolescents  have been diagnosed with a chronic and life altering diagnosis. In addition to coping with these diagnoses, many of these adolescents lack social emotional support (i.e. deceased parents, DCF custody, lack of community groups) and struggle with having their every day needs met (i.e. housing, food, clothing.) The Don't Forget About Me is being launched for the SECOND year to help these children/adolescents obtain Christmas gifts and Winter Essentials.

What: As the leaves change color and the New England Winter is upon us so are the holidays. The Don’t Forget About Me Project is seeking donations for these particular adolescents. These donations will go directly to these young individuals. Donations can be, but are not limited to; winter clothing (i.e. coats, gloves, hats,) gift cards, electronics, etc. You may also donate money that will be used to purchase items that are needed/desired for a specific adolescent. All donations will be handled directly by myself, the founder of the Don't Forget About Me Project.

Where: Donations can be made in THREE ways; Online, Mail, or Drop off. See the directions below.

*  Online: If you would like to make a fiscal  donation please visit make via gofundme.

*  Mail: You can mail your donations that you have purchased in person or that you have purchased through online stores. Please mail these tangible gifts to

* Drop Off: To make drop off donations, please contact Victoria via the Don't Forget About Me  facebook page.

When: Donations will be accepted NOW until December 17, 2017.

Why: Although this hospital works with different organizations to obtain holidays gifts for patients, the  gifts collected are the pediatric patients and families. This project is intended to help these adolescents not feel left out or “forgotten” during the holiday season.
