Donovan diagnosed with Leukemia

On Thursday night, our 9 year old son Donovan was diagnosed with AML-Acute Myeloid Leukemia.  He came into the hospital with a white blood cell count of 138,000 which is over 10 times the amount of normal range.  He has developed an enlarged lymph node on his neck which has been causing him  severe pain and keeping him sedated most of time.

I have been at my son's bedside day and night helping him stay strong during his aggressive chemo treatment and my husband has had to take time off of work to take care of the rest of our kids who include Donovan's twin sister Rhiannon, and his brothers Aidan age 8 and Dorian age 13.

We haven't had much time to process everything but know that once Paul's leave benefit runs out we won't be able to pay for any type of childcare while Donovan and I are at the hospital or even begin to cover the medical bills for him to continue to receive treatment, especially once we begin to consider bone marrow transplant costs, hospital stays, and other expenses involved in our fight.

We are asking for your help to ensure we are able to provide the best care for Donovan for the next few months while we work hard to fight against this ugly disease.  

We have our prayer warriors supporting us and asking God to heal him and help him stay strong in his fight.
