Donated Wheelchairs for pets

Donation protected
We had numerous people say that we should do a "donation" page to help fund the animal carts we build instead of paying for them ourself. We have built these carts for the past several years.  As for me, I am disabled and live on a very small income.  It's expensive to build these carts when you build numerous carts, and if shipping is involved, it adds to the expense.  We're NOT A 501-C3 (tax deductible, non profit organization, so it is not tax deductable), but rather us trying to help as many animals as possible with our passion.   We  would like to purchase a 3D printer (we purchased one now) and make the very small front wheel carts (that will be adjustable) with a design we have in mind as well as try a shot at making 3D printed small animal prosthetics after visiting a place that makes human prosthetics to get ideas.  We would be willing to take donations from people who can afford a cart from this point forward as a donation towards parts only and NO ANIMAL will ever be turned down if they can't afford the parts for a cart. Money is not the main object here, but it is required to make these carts to help the animals without all of the costs coming out of our pocket. We DO NOT MAKE  ANY MONEY ON THESE CARTS....it's a labor of love for disabled animals and a hobby.  It is not a business nor could it be for us, because the number of carts are way to low and slow to make due to a major disability.  A person that didn't need a cart would still be able to pay it forward and help an animal in need by donating.  A small PVC cart cost us $26 plus shipping for wheels alone, plus shipping them to us, making the total cost of a cart that size about $30 or a little more. The medium carts with the 12.5" wheels are about $50 to make and the large carts with 16" wheels are about $70 to make, plus shipping to the end consumer if needed. We prefer, but are not limited to, at this time, do more local carts for the rescue's we already have a relationship with that aren't states away.  That way we can personally fit the cart to the animal and make sure it's a good fit.  If the cart doesn't fit the animal correctly, it won't work most likely! Since printing 3D carts is new to us, we want to make sure we have them "dialed in" and that they work correctly before we start sending them across the country.  We know we can't make a cart for every animal out there, but for me personally, I will help build,  to the best of my ability all the carts my body will allow!  Again, I am disabled, in a mobility wheelchair myself,  having severe nerve damage, and build the carts when I can due to extreme pain.  There are many days when I can't do anything due to the pain.  What might take most people an hour or two to build might take me all week.  With a 3D printer, I can lay in my bed ( where the pain is the least) or be in my recliner and design the cart on my computer and the put the SD card in the 3D printer, and it does all the work.  This hobby is mental therapy to me, making me feel like our team is making a difference in both the owners and the animals life.  We are getting people to volunteer and help build and make parts for the carts or this wouldn't be possible at all!  Thank you to my friends...they know who they are!  As my condition worsens, and it has, I would like someone else to take over this passion/hobby and continue it with our team.   We thank everyone for donations given and if you can't afford to help financially, we fully understand that as well!  Together, we're helping one animal at a time!  If you would like to check out some of the carts in action with before and after vidoes and pictures, please find us on Facebook at Welch Wheels or Doug Welch in Kennewick, WA.
