Copwatch Patrol Unit (CPU)

Copwatch Patrol Unit (CPU) is a group of volunteers.  The volunteers spend their time monitoring and document police and civilian’s interactions. CPU goals are to use their physical presence and videos to deter police misconduct and brutality. Since we started in 2011 we believe we have been successful in preventing the criminalization and brutality of many innocent civilians.

 

CPU does not depend on the government for financial support. CPU has been blessed to have a supportive community that has helped CPU with many of the recording equipment that CPU uses and need.

 

Our Copwatch family continues to grow and we have also added a few new units. The LGBTQ Team (LT), our Special Intel Team (SIT), and our Immigration Team (IT).

 

Copwatch Patrol Unit (CPU) wants to continue to make a presence in communities which is most affected by police misconduct and brutality.
