The holidays are synonymous with toys and is a joyous time for most. But, for struggling families, it is a time of stress and anxiety. Providing holiday toys for children is a struggle for many low-income families and people who have survived in the wake of disasters (whether economic or natural). Most of us overlook the fact that parents barely getting by still want their children to experience the joy and excitement of receiving the toys of their dreams.
Community Rescue Corp Service, a 501 (c)3 nonprofit is hosting a Toy Drive and asks for your financial support for our 3rd annual holiday fundraiser, which supports families in the Shelby County area. Individuals like you allow us to embrace unity, positive change and visionary goals to enhance the overall vitality of our communities.
We’re excited to partner up with local organizations and businesses and the Toy Drive kicked off on November 16th and will continue through the event date December 22nd from 11-4 pm, located at 1029 Florida St. Memphis, TN 38106. Our sole goal is to ignite a joyful spark in the lives of Memphis families who would otherwise be without during the holidays by providing toys to needy families. This year, we would like to do something for the older children like supply gift cards, coats, shoes, or jobs as they are sometimes forgotten in toy drives.
With this event we aim to collect as many new toys for children, both boys and girls from 3 months to 16 year old. Along with ‘Refurban, Step by Step, Better Days Tax Service, and Agape, we hope to collect dozens of new toys of varying value, which will be given out to children at Refurban Memphis downtown on December 22, 2018 at 11:00 am. Children will be delighted to receive a very worthwhile, quality gift. As always with our annual toy drive, success relies entirely upon your kind assistance!
HOW DO DONATE.
1. Buy any toy(s) whatever value and as many as you want, then you can drop off at one of our drop off locations:
