On the day of Friday June 14th,2019 the lifes of the 18 years old Albanian boy Nezir Chajani and his beautiful family were changed drastically and tragically after a high fall in a lake unaware the water was shallow he jumped in the lake and was left paralyzed.This unfortunate event caused series of serious injuries.Broken neck,broken ribs and badly injured spine.He is still in a critical condition and fights for his life.He was rescued from this horrible accident by truly amazing human beings that pulled him out the water while he was unconscious.
He was rushed and admitted in "Karil-General Hospital" in Skopje Macedonia.
His mother Ajse Seji from Albanian ethnicity is torn apart that she is not by his side.She resides in Garfield,New Jersey United States and she went in Macedonia as soon as this tragedy happened and stayed one month by her son but due to working conditions she had to come back to the United States.
On June 15th emergency surgery was performed on the spine by Dr.Merdjanovski.
Nezir is a young respectful honest caring and loving son and brother.He was a A student he also has a passion for KARATE and he won the Championship in his country.
For now he is not able to breathe on his own and is entirely dependent on the respirator with a controlled scheme of mechanical ventilation-IPPV.
He has been in the hospital 50 days since arrival and is still on controlled mechanical scheme-BIBAP.
Because there is not enough resources and medical equipment in this hospital therefore he has to be transported in a private hospital where the medical expenses are extremely high,where he can continue his medical treatment and is facing unknown number of surgeries and procedures to repair the damage caused by the accident.
In order to make any progress movement in the legs or toes Nezir will be requiring extensive rehabilitation and physiotherapy and hopefully one day he will be able to walk again.
It will be a long and hard road and with your help we know all of this is possible.
His life and health are tremendously important to his family.Let's make sure he gets all the medical care he deserves.
