Dominating Doritos DI Trip

For the past several months, The Dominating Doritos (which is a team of six 5th Grade Girls)  have worked on a Service Learning Challenge for Destination Imagination. These girls put in a lot of time & effort. They toured Polinsky, interviewed an Occupational Therapist about sensory needs that different children have, they presented at their schools family night and made sensory bottles & bookmarks. They became educated on the benefits that these tools can have for someone with a sensory issue. In March they went to Regionals and placed. Over the weekend, they went to State and placed AGAIN! Now, if they can make enough in donations, they will be headed to Globals in Knoxville, Tennessee - whre they will have the be competing against children from 48 states and 17 countries!!!
