Dogs of Chernobyl - Manny Maciel

I am helping raise money for my friend and co-worker Manny Maciel. He has been selected to travel with me to Chernobyl, Ukraine to work on the catching team for our Dogs of Chernobyl program.  I have worked with Manny on numerous cases with the ASPCA FIR Team and  he is a wonderful asset to have on any team.

Manny has spent the last 30 years of his life dedicating it to the animal care field.  For the last 22 years he has worked many hours for the New Bedford Police department in Animal Control.   He has spent countless hours volunteering his time in many disaster situations, rescuing animals from hurricanes, fires, tornadoes and floods.

Manny has a heart of gold.  When he found out about the Dogs of Chernobyl program last year, he asked how can I help?  So now is his turn to help the Dogs of Chernobyl.

This is a self funded trip so Manny is responsible for his airfare, food and some transportation while in Ukraine. Donating would help offset some of the costs he will incur during this amazing trip.  He will be using his only vacation time of 3 weeks to spend it working long, hard hours in the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone catching feral dogs so they can be examined, spayed/neutered , vaccinated and dewormed.  These Dogs are the decedents of the animals left behind after the nuclear accident in Chernobyl in 1986.
