Dog Wheelchair Donation For Nepal

Sneha’s Care , a pet rescue group founded in Nepal in 2014 by Sneha Shrestha also partnered with US organization Nepal Street Animal Rescue . Sneha’s Care is the largest street dog rescue in Nepal. Currently, they are caring for 120 dogs, 12 of which are paralyzed and desperately need wheelchairs. The wheelchairs not only give them a means of mobility but also prevent further sores and limb deformities that may occur from dragging themselves around and provide these dogs with a full and meaningful life just as pets in loving homes know and deserve.
We at K9 Carts have been designing and building wheelchairs as well as mobility products for disabled pets since 1961. We have owned and operated one of the top veterinary orthopedic hospitals in the USA and work with rescue groups all over the world on a daily basis. We at K9 Carts are donating 50% of the funds needed to custom-build the wheelchairs, shipping, and spare parts for each dog in need. We are hoping to raise the remaining funds needed for our quest from the Go Fund Me community. The 12 special needs cases currently needing our help at Sheha’s Care are Creamy, Destiny, Fuchee, Happy, Kali1, Kali2, Khaire, Maggie, Puppy, Ratti, Seti, and Siri.
The country of Nepal has obviously been through many turbulent times. The dogs and cats are not without their own suffering from animal cruelty in a developing nation without the needs to help each pet in need, so with your help, we would like to give these dogs the gift of mobility. Sneha’s Care is a wonderful organization which rescues these pets left to die in the streets and brings them back to their shelter to heal and receive badly needed veterinary care. Once healed, the rescue tries to find good homes for them; however, the paralyzed animals are cared for in the shelter for the rest of their lives. Each of these 12 dogs is desperately in need of a wheelchair, which through your help; we hope to provide.
To quote Hillary Koetzil, of US organization Nepal Street Animal Rescue, “The time I spent at the rescue in December was some of the best time I have ever spent in my life working with dogs. Yes, it is a 3rd world country shelter, but it is clean, organized, and modern. The dogs, each of them, get some kind of affection and recognition each day from someone on the team -even if only briefly, they get the affirmation that they are not forgotten that they are valued and that they will be safe. My last trip really changed me, and I hope that my efforts to help these dogs will make a long-term difference because no matter how hard I work it is Sneha who is the one who is the glue to the whole operation and is fierce in defending the street dogs in Nepal.”
