Challenge
Rural communities in Cameroon have no electricity and is the major cause of Rural Exodus and increased urbanization rates in the nation. Rural women and girls in Cameroon have no knowledge of how to use computers or android phones which have a vital place in individual and community advancement in our global and android generation. With increased death rates in the country from diseases which could be prevented.

Solution
The project has as goals to; 1) Open them up to a world of opportunities of being able to market their farm products through social media and SMS technology, 2) Get their children exposed to scholarship opportunities and be able apply for these scholarship opportunities, 3) Connect them to possible sponsors and funders for their micro businesses and farms 4) Provide electricity to encourage new businesses and promote education

Long-Term Impact
The development projects by DMF in 2018 like the RuDroid Women project will ignite a desire for community members to become digitally empowered and computer literates since 1 in 30 villagers know how to use computers. The Power Up Cameroon project will help electrify villages in Cameroon and pave a way for new businesses to be established and promote literacy and education.
