"Give the Gift of Cake" Foundation

My name is Nicole Reynolds and I am the owner of D’Lux Pastries.  My mother Norma and I started D'Lux Pastries in 2008 as an online pastry and custom cake shop that I worked part-time and operated successfully for a year.  I also worked full time as a childcare provider at the time but recently retired from being a childcare provider of 13 years and would like to operate D'Lux Pastries full-time.  I want to establish D'Lux Pastries as a non-profit so our proceeds can go to giving free birthday cakes to homeless children living in shelters and group homes in our community through our “Give the Gift of Cake” Foundation. We will also offer job training in our community with Cake Decorating Workshops that will teach entry level cake decorating skills. The funds from this fundraiser will go towards getting our 501.C non-profit license, website, advertising and start up supplies we need.  I currently work as a Professional Cake Decorator at our local Navy Base Commissary and have current clients that utilize my services.  There are many kids and families that would greatly benefit from something as simple as a birthday cake.  We believe that every child deserves to celebrate their birthday regardless of their family, financial or living situation. Proceeds from all of our product sales will go towards giving free birthday cakes year round to children in need. Any donation big or small is greatly appreciated.
