Hiking for a cure:Dysautonomia

Tax deductible
Hello,
My name is Tess Nicholson. I am a proud Dysautonomia patient. Never heard of Dysautonomia? I am not surprised, but that is why I am doing this!

Dysautonomia is a group of complex diseases that affect the autonomic nervous system (ANS). The ANS regulate all of the unconscious functions our body performs each day such as heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, dilation and constriction of the pupils of the eye, kidney function, and temperature control. My specific type of Dysautonomia is called Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and I also suffer from a condition of unknown origin that caused my colon to fail and be removed in 2013.
I have had over 12 major surgeries in my 22 years on this earth.
2 years ago I was wheelchair bound and had constant IV therapy. I was quite literally fighting for my life.

I am raising money for Dysautonomia International whose primary goal is to research the causes and cures for all types of Dysautonomia. Right now they are funding a groundbreaking research study on my type of POTS.

On Sept 13th and 14th I will be hiking 4 mountains one being the highest mountain in NH. Mt. Washington, Mt. Monroe, Mt. Franklin & Mt. Eisenhower. This hike will be a total of 10.9miles but for fundraising purposes we are rounding up ; ).

Please sponsor me by giving a donation per mile.
