Dear reader,
I am making a plea for financial support for my brother-in law, Darrel.
One week ago he went into the hospital for what he thought was a minor concern. When the doctor seen him, they rushed him into emergency surgery. While the surgeon was operating, they found what we now know to be stage 3 cancer.
Darrel is the sole provider of his wife and grandson. They have exhausted all avenues for help through the state. Since he is medically unable to go to workshops, as the state requires, he was denied financial support. His unemployment was also denied because he is medically unable to work.
The surgeon believes he got the cancer out, but because the cancer got a lymphnoid, they ordered chemotherapy to start as soon as he is healed enough from the surgery. The surgeons concern is the lymphnoid spead the cancer to other parts of the body. Thats why chemotherapy was ordered. During this time Darrel will not be able to work and provide for his family. His wife wont be able to work, since she has to care for Darrel and their special needs grandson.
They are now facing the hard truth of being homeless with a 12 year old grandson and fighting for life.
Darrel's family is in need of financial support. I'm in Hope's that whoever reads this will help where they can. My goal is to raise enough money to pay their bills for at least two months. Currently, bills are around $2200 per month. All donations (after this fundraising site takes their portion) will go directly to monthly bills.
