Fuel for DIVOT's 1st Tour Fund

Hey everyone,
In case you haven't heard the news, we will be hitting the road for 2 weeks in August with platinum selling artist TRAPT, and SONS OF TEXAS on the "Life in Your Own Hands" tour!
As you can probably imagine, we are filled with excitement and anticipation to finally get out and play shows across the country. It's especially cool when all three of us grew up listening to TRAPT in high school, haha.
However, being an independent band makes this opportunity taste so much sweeter knowing that this is a result of our hard work and the constant support that we have received from our awesome fans.
In our 4 years together, we have always been without a manager, label, booking agent, 3rd party investor, etc. Everything we have done in this band is a result of our own personal investment or what we have received through support from our fans.
So why are we doing a gofundme?
The answer is pretty simple...
We are 3 broke dudes with a dream and need some money for gas to get across the country and back home.
We have it all calculated out. We have approximately 7000 miles and 115 hours of driving in a 1992 Dodge Sunhawk with no air conditioning ahead of us.
With 7000 miles at 10 mpg, we are looking at 700 gallons of fuel at about $2.90 a gallon. This puts our fuel expense for the entire tour at $2,030.
As of now, there is not enough time left to raise the necessary funds to cover the tour's fuel expense without your help.
This opportunity to tour the country is something that we cannot pass up, but going out for 2 weeks without any money in our pockets for gas is very risky.
Touring is something that we are new to, and we want to make sure that we do it right. Having the tour's fuel expense covered will help us immensely in making sure that our first tour is a huge success!
We want to continue towards making this band our livelihood, and touring successfully is how we will get there. If we can prove to make this tour successful as an independent band, we will be able to continue to tour our asses off in the future.
