Divers for Reef Conservation

DFRC is a group consisting of marine biologists, dive instructors, skippers, and other staff who work in the Great Barrier Reef dive and snorkel tourism industry. After witnessing the marine heatwaves and coral bleaching of 2016-17 first hand, our mission is to raise awareness about the greatest threat to the Great Barrier Reef: climate change. We’re working closely with other organisations like Fight for our Reef as well as AMPTO, the peak body for the tourism industry, to call for the government to commit to a swift transition away from fossil fuels and toward renewable energy to SAVE OUR REEF!
