Please Help Fund My Federal Lawsuit against Workplace Bullying and Depression
Hello, my name is Sandra Snowden. Depression. I have it. I am also a workplace suicide survivor. Depression is considered a disability under The Americans for Disability Act (ADA). I have filed against my former employer with both The Equal Opportunity Employment Commission (EEOC) and with The Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR). Finally, after two years of investigation, I have been given my (Right to Sue) notice from both government agencies. The IDHR alone found "Substantial Cause" against my former employer in violation of six of my civil rights.
I am now filing a Pro Se Federal lawsuit against my former employer for age discrimination, retaliation, interference with my medical leave, and several others charges. If the courts would allow me, I would also file suit for workplace bullying, mental cruelty, and verbal abuse. I know that my case will bring to light a dialogue to the American workplace and the world that this kind of treatment which I have suffered from my former employer must end. Millions of people suffer in silence with depression daily at their desk. Many commit suicide while employed at their companies. I call this Workplace “Bullycide” and it must be stopped.
Currently, I am a senior citizen on welfare standing up alone against Goliath--my former employer. They have expensive law firms to fight against me. I have my Diva strong will and voice. I now desperately need funding to continue my Federal lawsuit and hire an attorney and other health care professionals to testify and defend me on my behalf. My win will be a win for all those now suffering with depression and mental illness in the workplace.
