New Stalls for Discovery Riders!

Discovery Riders Therapeutic Riding and Learning Center is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization with the goal of providing people with physical, developmental, and emotional disabilities the opportunity to improve their lives through horsemanship.
This center in Zanesfield, OH pairs riders of all ages with caring volunteers, skilled instructors, and amazing horses. Programs are offered to meet the social, emotional, cognitive, and/or physical needs of our students. Discovery Riders serves adults and children with disabilities, at-risk youth, and veterans. Our students regularly participate in 4H and Special Olympics!
Discovery Riders has been helping people since its inception in 1999, and had the opportunity to purchase the ranch we call home in 2007. With the help of many volunteer hours, the ranch is a safe, enjoyable place for students to learn, and for the horses to live and thrive.
We need your help though, as the stalls need renovations for the safety of our horses.
As you can see, Kody uses his gate as a ladder to get a better view of his friends! Additionally, the stalls are only 8'x8' which doesn't give our large horses enough room to stretch their legs, lay down, and get their much deserved rest.
Our plan is to expand the stalls to brand new 10'x10' stalls with sliding stall doors. This will be a huge improvement from the current farm gates in terms of both horse and student safety.
We received a generous grant from the Logan County Electric Cooperative for $2000, but new stalls for our ten horses will cost $12,000. We are asking for your help to bridge this gap! Discovery Riders functions primarily on volunteer hours and a limited budget. Each dollar donated helps us keep those funds going toward the food and medical care of our horses, scholarships for our students, and the wonderful, and healing programming we provide to our community!
