Robert (Robbie) served his country and cared for his fellow soldiers with pride and courage for many years. Yet returning to civilian life with disabilities has been painfully depressing and exhausting, fighting government red tape and the sluggish process to obtain VA and disability benefits is a never ending battle. Robbie and his family have been living with Robbie's parents since August, 2013. The little income he receives pays his current obligations, with almost nothing left over. Robbie is unable to work due to his injuries and increasing health issues and his wife has been unable to find gainful employment, so she is currently in school for certification in medical billing and coding.

We are seeking other avenues to help raise the funds to pay for the transportation fees for the household goods, and storage for 6 to 8 months while waiting for settlements from VA and disability benefits. Once the benefits are received they will be able to afford an apartment or a house.  Here is an opportunity to say thank you to a brave soldier who served you and his country; a nurse who cared for his fellow soldiers unselfishly on base and in combat. Any amount will be gratefully appreciated.
