Disabled vet needs heating repairs

New update posted, please read.

This campaign is for a 100% disabled veteran who's home heating unit just went out. After having a technician out to the house, we  were informed that the condenser coil had a leak and needed to be replaced. With the leak, there was no oil in the system and the compressor burnt out. Anyone who's ever had to have any repairs like this know how expensive they can be and with already experiencing temparures as low as 9°F this year, repairs aren't able to be delayed. He has 6 kids and a service dog that he cares for on what little he receives from the VA since he isn't able to work due to his medical condition. Any money raised will go towards paying for the cost of parts and labor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just a quick update, and my apologies for the delay. After a long day Wednesday, technicians were able to get the heat up and running ☺ Ran into a few issues with the install after compressor. After charging system and firing it up, one of the lines blew at the bend. They worked on it tirelessly for over 5 hours, with a good amount of that time going to pressure testing and evacuating the system to ensuring there were no more leaks (found 1 more in a return line) and no moisture in the system. The cold made brazing the lines a little difficult, but they worked practically non-stop to get it done. Much appreciation for these guys work ethic and making sure everything was running perfectly ☺

I want to thank everyone who donated so far. Without your help, we would not have been able to get this done. We just need a small amount to reach our goal and settle the invoice for these guys hard work. Thank again for your help.

Thank you all so much for all of the great support! We're past the halfway mark and truly grateful for all the help. Compressor should be in around Wednesday (estimate) and Hvac tech will be here same day (they're 24/7) to get this issue resolved once and for all.

So we were able to get a tech out to replace the coil and try to pay half now and half later to at least get the heat back on. They were able to get the coil in, but after filling the system, it was found out the compressor had been damaged from running with no freon or oil. I've updated the campaign description to reflect the situation.

Thanks so much for everyone who has donated! Every little bit counts, and we've reached enough to cover the labor cost ($499)! Thank you again for your generosity!
