Who are we and why are we doing this?

We are the Dirt Don't Hurt Festival team, a group of like minded friends intent on raising as much money as possible for Thames Hospice.

Together we hosted a charity music festival, which took place on July 21st to 23rd 2017 at a secret secluded site near Poole in Dorset.

In July 2016 we lost one of our very close friends, Amy Fullilove, to melenoma. Amy was only 31 and her loss hit her friends and family very hard so we decided to do something positive to keep her memory alive and give something back.

How the donations worked

Ticket sales covered the costs of putting on the festival, hiring the site and decorating the venue.

We also raised donations both online and offline before and during the festival, to go to Thames Hospice. 

More about our charitable cause?

Thames Hospice provided our wonderful friend Amy with amazing care and they continue to do so for many others. It costs more than £7million every year to keep Thames Hospice running and they rely on 80% of their income from charitable donations, which enables them to provide their services free of charge, 365 days a year, to the people who need them.


Why we need you

Our ethos throughout the organisation of the event has been that we should do everything on as small a budget as possible to ensure that the focus remains on the charity.

We were able to secure all of the acts for free and everyone organising and managing the event also gave up their time for free.

Cancer affects a huge number of people in the UK so whether you knew Amy or not, this is an ideal opportunity to give back to a hugely worthwhile cause.
