Diamond Cancer Fund

My name is Sue Roper. Last week, it was determined that my son-in-law, Jeff Diamond, will need surgery April 3, to remove a cancerous tumor. He and my daughter, Leanna, are concerned about their ability to keep up with bills and other expenses while Jeff is off work for up to six weeks. It is likely he will undergo radiation after surgery; we don’t know the duration but are quite sure he will have to travel to a hospital one hour from their home.
 

Presently, we believe Jeff’s insurance will cover most of his medical expenses, but only after the $3,000 deductible is met. With Jeff off work for about six weeks, and Leanna needing to take time off to care for him, they could really use some help to keep up with their medical co-pays, car insurance, groceries, gas to Grand Rapids for treatments, and gas for friends to take the 3 kids to their weekly activities. They may need assistance with care for their 3 children, when grandparents are unavailable.

 We are making tentative plans for a local fundraiser consisting of a dinner and/or silent auction, after we know more about Jeff’s recovery process.

Above all, we ask for your prayers and support. Financial assistance is greatly appreciated, but knowing that friends and family are supportive also helps.
